FTard CryptoCram Version 1.0.0.3 http://tools.israeltorres.org Usage: 1. Enter your cryptogram 2. Click "Try It" to begin. 3. Now start substituting the letters on the top of the alphabet for letters you may suspect could be part of the solution. 4. You can click "Try it" again at anytime to get an updated view of the processed message as well as refresh the key sequence. Here is an example of a decryption in process: Example: Encrypted Monoalphabetic Substitition Message PRIKZNYROVQ ORH QHPRHZ VHQQOYHQ. Processed Message CRYPTOGRAMS ARH SHCRHT MHSSAGHS. FTard CryptoCram Generated Key AABBCCDDEEFFGGHHIYJJKPLLMMNOOAPCQSRRSSTTUUVMWWXXYGZT Letter Frequency A 0 N 1 Spaces 3 B 0 O 3 Other 1 C 0 P 2 D 0 Q 5 E 0 R 4 F 0 S 0 G 0 T 0 H 5 U 0 I 1 V 2 J 0 W 0 K 1 X 0 L 0 Y 2 M 0 Z 2 Can you figure out the rest? Since there is a generated key already available use it to start your project. "Check Balance" allows you to check whether or your key is balanced and therefore whether your substitution is balanced. It is not required for it to be balanced as it depends on the cryptogram's usage of the key. For example if you have A representing Z, and A still representing A this means A is off balance because it is representing two characters which is not typical of a monoalphabetic substitution cipher. The default key loaded is the balanced key: AABBCCDDEEFFGGHHIIJJKKLLMMNNOOPPQQRRSSTTUUVVWWXXYYZZ It is a 52 character alphabetic upper case string where the first character and every odd character is the static alphabet A-Z and every even character contains the substitution applied. AA would mean that A = A, and so on. The key may be loaded in mixed case - it will be converted to upper case. Preloaded keys include Atbash and Rot13 at this time. This application currently only supports monoalphabetic substitution at this release, though expansion is in the process. 47A0EABB75008B4593F559291805C50F FTard CryptoCram.exe 45771183D3DCC08F157431A6F12ECB2B FTard CryptoCram.zip Released February 21 2006 -- Updated February 26 2006 [1.0.0.3] (Added Generated Key Balance checking, Preloaded keys, Iterations Display, GUI Updates) -- Updated February 21 2006 [1.0.0.2] (Added Letter Frequency Analysis, ELF Chart, GUI update) * Disclaimer: Use at your own risk * Israel Torres
